Meet the Artist

Initially self-taught, artist Jo Harn has worn many hats in her long, full life.  Now 84 years old, she uses art as a way to connect with new friends, her community and her memories of exploring the world.

She often travels light and brings along her sketch book to jot down a memorable camp site, landscape or wildlife scene. She is a natural plein air artist, being present in the moment and capturing the natural beauty.  Jo remarks, “Over the years with school, jobs and most importantly family, I always had the artist in me. Even when busy, I grab a pad and pencil, and the sketching keeps the artist in me alive.”
